Downtown Brooklyn: A Journal of Writing
General Information
Downtown Brooklyn is a journal of literary prose and fiction by past and present students, faculty, and staff from the Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University. The magazine is currently published once a year by the English Department, with a due date for submissions of December 15th. Anyone who has ever been associated with the Brooklyn Campus or its extension campuses, either as a student or as a faculty member, may submit work. Submissions are given a blind reading by a committee of full- and part-time faculty in the English Department.
Submission Guidelines
All submissions should be typed or word-processed and accompanied by a disc version, if possible. Do not put your name on the submission itself, but attach a separate page with your name, address, and phone number(s). Also include a SASE if you would like to have your work returned to you. We also request that you include a short bio (2-3 lines); describe your affiliation with the University and list any previous publications.
